What goes on in Georgia doesn't necessarily stay in Georgia!

Our NIPRO syringe delivery finally arrived. It was delayed by several days. No, the NIPRO dog didn't eat our order. So here's an aspect of product sales that I take for granted. You see, we usually place an order and a few days later the truck backs up to our dock and magically it's delivered. But would an ice storm in Georgia affect a shipment that should have originated in California? It will if the California warehouse is waiting for their inbound shipment to clear customs and so the company attempts to fill our order from reserve inventory in a Georgia warehouse. So, because of terrible winter weather in the Peach State, our delivery was delayed several days. that creates a ripple throughout our order fulfillment and ultimately our customers stock of syringes.

In fact we began receiving calls - calls that went like this " Hey guys, I thought for sure I ordered 3cc 22x3/4 syringes from you?" And then we confirm that they did and that in fact they did not dream of placing an order with us. Now we're pretty fortunate because this rarely happens. And frankly, as Americans we have it pretty good. We're accustomed to going to the store and seeing fully stocked shelves. That is not always the case in other countries. We're used to flipping a switch and boom, the room lights up. We're conditioned to turn a faucet and water cascades forth. But once again, this is not the case for many people across the world. And so, just take a minute to ponder how fortunate we are. I know I am - and I know you are too.

All the Best,
Simon
